Provenance Asset Group LLC Privacy Policy for Web-based Services

Effective Date: October 30, 2017

This Privacy Policy describes the privacy practices of Provenance Asset Group LLC ("Provenance", "we" or "us") in connection with the use of all Provenance websites within the domain provenanceassetgroup.com, and all related services (collectively, the "Service"). As used in this Privacy Policy, the term "personally identifiable information" means any information that readily may be used to identify an individual, including but not limited to a first and last name, physical or email address, phone number, or other contact information. This Privacy Policy should be read alongside our Terms of Service.

We do not automatically collect personally identifiable information in connection with the Service unless you submit an information request form to Provenance through the Service, register with Provenance and sign in to the Service, register an alert, or are invited by another user to receive Provenance email alerts through the Service (as discussed more below). We do track certain information about the visits to our website. We compile traffic-based statistics that show the numbers and frequency of visitors to the Service and individual web pages on the Service. The compilation is an aggregated statistical report that we use internally to understand traffic on the Service, manage the Service, and help diagnose any problems. Unless you are signed in to the Service, register an alert, send us an information request or other communication, or are invited by another user to receive Provenance email alerts through the Service, these traffic-based statistical reports contain no personally identifiable information and are not used to gather such information. We also record information from your computer and browser, including your IP address, Provenance cookie information (as discussed more below), and software attributes. If you register with Provenance and sign in to the Service directly, we may collect information regarding your use of the Service, such as web pages you visit.

When you submit an information request form to Provenance through the Service, when you register with Provenance and sign in to the Service directly, when you register and alert, or when you are invited by another user to receive Provenance emails alerts through the Service, Provenance may collect personally identifiable information, including the following:

  • your name;
  • your contact information, such as email address and/or physical address;
  • the type of information that you are seeking if you submit an information request form to Provenance through the Service, and any information that you include in that form;
  • the names of the individuals whom you have invited to receive Provenance email alerts through the Service;
  • information relating to the Provenance links that you click on and emails that you open through the Provenance email alerts (which information may be collected through user-specific Provenance links and web beacons, as discussed more below);
  • the names of individuals who invited you to receive Provenance email alerts through the Service; and
  • your job title and the name of your company if you submit such information through communications to Provenance that you initiate through the Service.

We use cookies to collect information regarding your use of the Service. Cookies are short strings of text sent from a web server to a web browser when the browser accesses a website. When the browser requests a page from the web server that originally sent it the cookie, the browser sends a copy of the cookie back to that web server. A cookie typically contains, among other things, the name of the cookie, a unique identification number, and an expiration date and domain name information. Cookies are used for personalization, tracking and other purposes. Cookies may be "session-only" or "persistent." Persistent cookies last for more than one visit and are typically used to allow a visitor to the website to personalize their experience.

We may use cookies to analyze the traffic on the Service (such as total visitors and pages viewed), to personalize features or save you the trouble of retyping your name or other information, and to make improvements to the Service based on the data we collect. We do not save passwords or other sensitive information in cookies. The use of cookies has become a standard in the internet industry, especially at websites that provide any kind of personalized service.

Cookies may also be placed by third parties prior to or during your visit to the Service. Our Affiliates and business partners may use these cookies in connection with pixel tracking or otherwise. We do not control these cookies. The use of cookies by content providers and advertisers has become standard practice in the internet industry. You can adjust your browser settings to accept all cookies, refuse all cookies, or to notify you when a cookie is being placed on your hard drive. However, if you reject all cookies, it may diminish your experience with the Service because of additional time needed to enter your information repeatedly, and you may not be able to access some features of the Service.

We may use user-specific links and web beacons in Provenance email alerts to collect information relating to the Provenance links that you click on and emails that you open through the Provenance email alerts. These user-specific Provenance links and web beacons are small snippets of code contained in Provenance email alerts. If you prefer not to receive user-specific Provenance links and web beacons and want to unsubscribe to Provenance email alerts, you may unsubscribe by clicking "Unsubscribe" in any Provenance email alert or by contacting us at info@provenassets.com.

We use information gathered through the Service for the following general purposes: to fulfill your requests for information or services, improve the Service and other products and services offered by Provenance or its affiliates, contact you regarding the Service or other products and services offered by Provenance or its affiliates, conduct research, and provide anonymous reporting for internal and external clients.

We will not sell your personally identifiable information to third parties, and we will not provide your personally identifiable information to third parties except as described below.

We may provide your personally identifiable information to third-party service providers who help us develop and improve the Service. These service providers will be obligated to protect your information and will use your information only in performing services for Provenance in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We may transfer your personally identifiable information if we are acquired by or merged with another company, in which event we will notify you before your personally identifiable information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We may also disclose personally identifiable information collected through the Service if we believe it is necessary in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or violations of our Terms of Service; to protect and defend our rights and interests and those of our users; or as otherwise required by law.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet or e-mail is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect personally identifiable information that you submit to us, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to the Service. Any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorized access.

If you choose to provide us with personally identifiable information, you consent to the transfer and storage of that information on our servers located in the United States.

We will strive to give you access to your personally identifiable information for any purpose, including to request that we correct the data if it is inaccurate or delete the data if Provenance is not required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes. We may decline to process requests that are frivolous/vexatious, jeopardize the privacy of others, are extremely impractical or require disproportionate technical effort, or for which access is not otherwise required by local law. Access, correction, or deletion requests can be made by contacting us at info@provenassets.com.

Provenance will protect your company's confidential financial information that is included in any information request form submitted to Provenance through the Service with the same level of protection that we apply to personally identifiable information under this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites that may be accessed through the Service. We may provide links to other websites that contain information that we believe may be useful to you or that you will find valuable. But we have not investigated the security of those linked websites, and you should not assume those sites have a privacy policy equivalent to ours. If you access such a third-party website through a link we provide, you will be subject to the privacy policy of the new site. We are not responsible for the contents of any linked third-party web pages referenced through the Service. If you have any questions regarding the privacy, security, or content of any third-party websites, you should contact the appropriate contact(s) at those websites directly.

We may update this Privacy Policy, and any updates will be effective upon posting through the Service. We encourage you to periodically check back and review this Privacy Policy so that you always know what information we collect, how we use it, and if and to whom we may disclose it. You may update the personal data you provide to us during registration by contacting us at info@provenassets.com.

If you have any questions concerning this Privacy Policy, please contact us at info@provenassets.com.
